Africa Cycling aims to travel as sustainably as possible with its customers. We support the Kenyan population, offset the CO2 emissions from our trips, and make every effort to conserve and protect African nature and our planet!
Hands on the future
We promote quality education in Kenya. Together with the “Hands on the Future” Foundation, we provide financial support to underprivileged children, ensuring they receive sustained access to quality education.
Planting trees
Africa Cycling realizes that you need to fly to Kenya to make your
Dream Vacation. Therefore, in 2024 we are going to offset the CO2 emissions from your trip by planting trees. We are working hard to become a partner of “Change a Life Bwindi” planting trees in Uganda, in the first quarter of 2024
What else do we do in Kenya
We provide employment and income opportunities for Kenyans. Whether directly or indirectly, we seek out schools and offer our guests the opportunity to support them. We engage with hotels/lodges to discuss their sustainability strategies. Furthermore, we organize small projects such as plastic and waste cleanup initiatives.
And at our home base in the Netherlands
We are energy-neutral through the use of solar power. We travel using electric vehicles, bicycles, or public transportation. We strive to minimize paper usage and instead rely on email, WhatsApp, and the Cloud. Our coffee is Fairtrade sourced from sustainable coffee bean plantations.
